This Being Called Gibey
Who is the guy behind all these, anyway? Read this to find out.
Note: This draws inspiration from two forum entries that were originally posted in the EDS 103 and EDS 111 Self-Introduction Forums in the UPOU PTC course sites.
Radical but rational, complex but real. That's the person maintaining this site.
He is Gilbert Joseph N. Abueg, a Caviteño and a high school Math teacher. You can call him either Gilbert or Gibey.
He is currently in his fifth year of teaching and the Assistant to the Principal at the Centennial Academy of the Blessed Trinity in Gen. Trias City, Cavite. He graduated in UP Diliman with a degree of BS Mathematics and taught at the Institute of Mathematics, also in UP Diliman, from 2003 to 2008.
To finally seal my fate as a basic education teacher, and to heed the challenge of the new curriculum, he needed one very important weapon: a teaching license. Thus, he ventured into the professional teaching certificate program, which prompted him to make a balik- UP stint by enrolling in the UP Open University Professional Teaching Certificate (UPOU PTC) Program. He is expecting an exciting and memorable journey for all of his classmates in the UPOU, together with his teachers and to receive the quality of instruction that is truly tatak UP.
Aside from his interests in Math teaching, current events, and trivia, he is a self-confessed anime fanatic. He looks at Koro Sensei, the yellow octopus teacher and main protagonist of the anime Assassination Classroom, as one of his inspirations as a teacher. He has also watched more than 100 anime titles in a span of 13 years, and he is also looking forward to every new anime season.
Mug shot par excellance :p
